"Our Puerto Rico Our Mission"
|
Hurricane MariaSeptember 16, 2017 our lives changed forever and will never be the same. Hurricane Maria changed the lives of people worldwide. Puerto Rico and the surrounding islands were devastated, and help did not look like it was coming. The Puerto Rican Civic Club jumped into action after the storm. The PRCC was one of the first non-profits to have boots on the ground. We brought aid in the form of water, medical supplies, food, clothing, generators, Luci lights, and much more. Our efforts took us to Vieques, one of Puerto Ricco's islands located off the island's east side. Along with several other non-profits, we helped to rebuild homes and brought medical supplies and aid to the island for four days. US volunteer doctors and nurses brought comfort and medical assistance to the people of Vieques.
