We are in the process of making some new and exciting change as we move into a new year. We welcome you to visit our site frequently to see new information that we will be posting throughout the New Year. We hope that you take the time to look at our member’s meeting calendar and come on out and join us. Our goal is to communicate a positive message to our community that will help us to grow and continue to help those around us. In order to accomplish this goal we need the support of new members. |
Established in 1951 by members of the San Jose Puerto Rican community with the goal of promoting their culture within the South Bay area, our 501(c)3 social club welcomes individuals interested in learning about our heritage and enjoying the club's offerings. Committed to supporting our communities, we strive to raise awareness about the daily challenges faced by our members .
Over the years, we have organized various events, such as the annual "Dia de San Juan Festival," which serves as a fundraiser for scholarships. This highly successful initiative has been providing scholarships for 45 years and counting. Collaborating with the Western Region Puerto Rican Council and sister clubs, we have focused on awarding scholarships to Puerto Rican students worldwide to pursue higher education.

Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in 2017, our club shifted its focus to emergency response efforts. We redirected our resources and fundraising activities towards aiding those affected by severe storms, which have unfortunately become more frequent in Puerto Rico. Through partnerships with local organizations and government agencies, we were able to provide assistance during and after Hurricane Maria, offering essential supplies such as food, transportation, shelter, solar lights, water purifiers, and more to the people of Puerto Rico. |

Transitioning from a social club to a first responders organization has been both challenging and rewarding. We have found fulfillment in lending a helping hand during times of crisis and remain dedicated to serving our community.
