In light of the arrival of COVID-19 in Northern California, the Puerto Rican Civic Club must take the responsible action of postponing Techo De Amor - Roof of Love Fundraiser, March 28, 2020, to a later date in May 2020. We will update you when we have a new scheduled time.
We will be offering a refund on tickets that have been purchased; please send us an email with your confirmation number to [email protected]. If you do not wish to receive a refund, know that you are ticket purchase will still go to helping buy the tents needed to house the refugees in Puerto Rico. Your ticket will be valid for the new scheduled date.
Currently, it is encouraged for people not to travel and to do their part to participate in Social Isolation, if possible, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This type of action will slow down the spread of COVID-19 and will allow health care providers the opportunity to help those that are sick. Consider when possible working from home and keeping the kids home from school and spending quality time with your family. Help us by doing your part to help keep America healthy.

Come join us for a fun full night of Salsa dancing to help the refugees of Puerto Rico.
This night will be filled with Puerto Rican food, good drinks and Salsa Dance party with Latin Heat featuring Tony Acevedo from Saboricua and friends. And DJ Carlitos Way Brigante to keep the party going! All ticket sales goes to will be given to the Puerto Rican Club of San Jose for the Techo de Amor (Roof of Love) campaign! Puerto Rico and surrounding islands are hit with a Magnitude 6.4 earthquake.
Images throughout the island are real and our people need our help. Our President María Acevedo is currently on the island assessing the needs.

We are in the process of making some new and exciting change as we move into a new year. We welcome you to visit our site frequently to see new information that we will be posting throughout the New Year. We hope that you take the time to look at our member’s meeting calendar and come on out and join us. Our goal is to communicate a positive message to our community that will help us to grow and continue to help those around us. In order to accomplish this goal we need the support of new members. |
Founded in 1951 by San Jose Puerto Ricans who wanted to share their culture with the South Bay communities. A 501(c)3 social club open to anyone that wants to learn about and enjoy the Puerto Rican culture.
In 2016 we were able to make San Jose History Park our monthly gathering place. Our club is open to helping our communities and brings awareness to day to day issues that surround our families. As well as we have hosted a number of activities throughout the year.
We are also a sister club to the Western Region Puerto Rican Council - WRPRC. An organization dedicated to raising funds for students needing financial assistance to continue their college education WRPRC host an annual fundraising event, Salsa Festival "El Dia de San Juan". These funds are used towards tuition, school supplies, and living expenses. CCPR is proud to be a part of the WRPRC in helping our future reach their highest levels of education. On January 4th, 2019, during Three Kings Day weekend, toys were given to children in Utuado. It was at this event the Puerto Rican Civic Club of San Jose, CA, Puerto Rico Somos Gente, Helping Hands for Puerto Rico and Redes Ebenezer came to an agreement to work together on a mission together in Vieques. The purpose of the mission is to rehabilitate homes in Vieques while providing basic medical necessities to families in need during July 8th – July 15th.

We are happy to announce that we had a successful weekend. Also, we would like to thank all our volunteers, without you we could not do what we do!
